Family & Children’s Services of St. Thomas and Elgin (FACS) is a moderate sized, progressive Child Welfare Society, developing innovative programming, and located in beautiful Elgin County.

We are a not-for-profit social service agency licensed by the Province of Ontario to provide child protection services in a community of over 80,000 people in Southwestern Ontario. Nestled on the north shore of Lake Erie, Elgin County is a mixture of small town, rural and vacation communities, but we are close enough to enjoy the bright lights of Toronto and London, Ontario, or Detroit Michigan.

CHILD PROTECTION WORKER – Full-time/Permanent

We are looking for an engaged, dynamic individual to join our team as an Authorized Child Protection Worker.  This position may provide protective and preventative services to families, children, and youth.  The successful applicant will assume responsibility for child welfare caseloads including responsibility for assessing family and individual functioning, and the provision of child protection and therapeutic intervention services within a Signs of Safety framework.  Department assignment to be determined.

The nature of this position requires flexible working hours. This position is within the Bargaining Unit.
