Joining our Board of Directors

We are one of Ontario’s 47 Children’s Aid Societies providing prevention services, protection services and supports to children, youth and families in Elgin County. We operate under the Child and Family Services Act and in collaboration with our community partners.

Our services are varied, depending on the needs of the children, youth and families and we work together with families, other community partners and First Nations to provide children and youth with safe, nurturing environments.

Our funding comes from you, through the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and we are governed by a local, volunteer Board of Directors.

We strive to have a broad mix of skills and experience on our Board and all applicants are welcome. In addition to this, we currently are seeking a member with a strong connection to our indigenous community.

If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors, we would like you to either work, volunteer or do business in Elgin County. We also ask that you are supportive of the Vision, Mission and Values of the Society and are sympathetic with the objectives of the Society.
