Our Foster Caregivers are the BEST!

A HUGE Thank You goes out to all the foster families in Elgin County who make such an important difference in the lives of children, youth and families in care. We couldn’t do it without you and we want you to know how much we value your contributions.

In January, families with children placed by our agency received an additional $500 to support children with whatever they need during this wave of the pandemic.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to the wellbeing and success of the children, youth and families in your lives!!

Make fostering your New Year’s Resolution in 2022!

There are children and youth in the community of St. Thomas and Elgin who need you.
You can be the difference for a child or youth in need by opening your home to fostering.

Currently there is a special need for skilled homes, homes for youth and caregivers from the east and west part of Elgin County. Caregivers of all ethnicities, races and spiritual backgrounds are encouraged to apply!

Our Foster Care program includes the recruitment, screening, training, support and utilization of families of all kinds to provide care to children and youth who can no longer live with their own family.
Most children are placed in foster homes temporarily, ranging from a few days to several months, while other services are provided to help a family through a crisis and improve safety for a child’s return home. It is critical that children and youth are supported to visit with their parents and maintain their connection while they are living in foster care.
